Growing up with games since a young age, it's no surprise they've become a big part of my life. I have fond memories of playing The Sims on my family's old PC, The Simpsons Hit & Run on our PS2, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf with my friends on our 3DS's. These games hold a special place in my heart since I grew up playing them, however Fallout 3 is the game that widened my interest in games; and safe to say I've been hooked ever since.
I first became interested in the industry after being dragged to an after school club with a friend when we were 12. We were introduced to GameMaker 8.1 which helped me discover a love for visual coding as I picked it up very quickly. I began working on my project in my own time, adding my own touches, and helping some of the other students in the club with their work. Now, 9 years later, I've graduated from a Computer Games Design University course and discovered I have a passion for both Technical Design and Narrative Design.
Many of the games I've played over recent years have had a strong focus on the story and characters, most notably Persona 3, Watch Dogs 2, and Life is Strange. If a game is able to absorb me into the story and become attached to the characters, then I automatically begin to love it. Because of this, I have rediscovered my love for writing, and would love to be able to apply it to games to give other players memorable experiences.
